About Harris Home Decor

We are George & Maria Harris.
 
I’m George from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I do the design and construction of all our wood items. Though a Business Analysis for computer projects by day, my passion is to work with wood. Since a young age, I have done all sorts of building projects, home additions, remodeling, finish work, as well as furniture for my family. I love using the same creativity, and problem-solving skills from my day job to come up with some innovative uses of materials, designs, and processes to use in the designs we create for you.
 

I’m Maria, a former retail store manager and teacher of family and consumer science. I have always loved fashion, interior design, and all types of projects that challenge my creativity. My admiration of the beauty of nature lead to my interest in quality silk floral design. I select a variety of elements for use in my projects to produce interesting, yet cohesive designs. I have spent years designing and delivering silk florals for weddings, and other special occasions, as the opportunity arose. I am excited to now offer my floral arrangements, wreaths, and special occasion services to you!
